The Designate will provide

• An informational session explaining the current legal environment and consequences of a DUI.


• A personalized enrollment letter, membership card and information packet explaining the program and guidelines.


• A monthly invoice that breaks down the number of times each card number was used, what dates each one was used, how far they traveled, and total cost for the service.


• Monitoring of individual card usage to identify potential abuse of the service.  If warranted, The Designate will send a letter graciously informing an employee that their usage is outside of the agreed upon parameters.

Cost benefit

Current statistics show that three to five percent of the workforce will utilize this level of service in a given month. A company of 100 employees would normally experience between 3 and 5 runs per month at a cost of approximately $250 monthly or $3,000 annually.  Compare that to the $200 per employee per month ($20,000 annually for 100 employees) that is estimated an average company currently spends per year in DUI related health and life insurance premiums, lost productivity, recruitment and training, workers compensation and other costs based on the Cal State study.  While this is a statistical average, just one incident can have a devastating effect on an employee, their family and the company.  Preventing one DUI in your workforce will pay for The Designate many times over.
