Ok, let's say I'm out and realize I shouldn't drive home. What do I do?
The Designate has an on-call service that will send a professional chauffeur to your location and drive you home in your own vehicle. All you have to do is call the toll free number for The Designate (1-888-929-8282).
What happens if we get pulled over?
Your licensed chauffer is an authorized driver of your vehicle. They are trained in defensive driving but in the unlikely event they are pulled over they are responsible for any moving violation incurred.
I’m going out tonight and I don’t want to worry about how I am getting home?
There are two main options. The first is to call and reserve a pick up at a certain time.
The second is if you have a small party of people, why not hire a chauffeur for the whole night and get the true VIP service at a fraction of the price of a limo.
Of course if you are already out and realize you don’t want to drive home just call our toll free number and we will send a professional chauffeur to meet you anywhere in the tri county area and drive you home in your car.
So you are a taxi?
No. We are a chauffeur service that utilizes your vehicle to drive you. The advantage is that if you are already out you don’t need to leave your car behind and worry about retrieving it the next day.
Should I tip a driver?
Gratuities are graciously accepted and appreciated.
Can I drop off friends of mine?
We are happy to drop off your friends. The price of the service is based on total mileage and will be reflected in the combined distance of the trip.
How long does it take a driver to meet me after I call for one?
The Designate’s service objective is to have a driver to you in less than 30 minutes. Depending on where and when you call it may take a little longer. If you know you are going to what to use the service why not call ahead and make a reservation?
Where will The Designate take me?
There is no geographic restriction on where you can be dropped off. Currently however, The Designate will only pick you up from locations in Wayne Oakland or Macomb Counties. In the outlying areas there may be a pickup surcharge.
When can I use the service?
The Designate is open Sunday thru Tuesday from 5:00PM to 12:00 AM and Wednesday thru Saturday from 5:00PM to 2:30 AM.
What forms of payment does The Designate accept?
The Designate accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, oh yeah and cash is always welcome.
What about sporting events or other major events that attract lots of people?
We recommend that you hire a driver and have them for the duration of the event this way all you have to do is make it to the front and they will be there waiting. If you call from an event we will service you, but it can take up to two hours to reach you and we will need payment up front. Additional fees may also apply.
Can I get billed monthly or keep a card on account?
Yes we do offer a monthly billing, but you must set up the account before hand and secure it with a credit card.
